La exposición "Navajas" de la artista mexicana Rosa Maria Robles, constituye una reflexión sobre los conflictos de su país. Un universo de metáforas y símbolos que no renuncian al reconocimiento del cuerpo. El rojo es el color de la sangre, es el modo de identificarse con las victimas que no tienen la posibilidad de dejar el rostro tras la muerte.
La fotografía, el performance, el video y la escultura se mezclan en un lenguaje simbólico, kistch, que rompe esquemas. La artista dice: "Cuando el mundo insistentemente me asedia con sus venenos, afilo mis navajas".

Knives: A slap to the collective conscience

The exhibition "Knives" of the Mexican artist Rosa María Robles, constitutes a reflection on the conflicts of her country. Arturo Montoto, fotografo y pintor, nos llega ahora con una nueva exposicion: El jardin de Epicuro. Como dijera el artista: " Mi obra tiene mucho de barroco, pero también de clásico. Es una obra minimalista, no pretendo que aparezcan muchas cosas, sino decir lo más que pueda. Que el espectador pueda sentir mucho con muy poco. Cada uno de nosotros, como artista, posee un repertorio limitado. No podemos tener todo lo que existe fuera de nosotros, ni dentro de nosotros, al alcance del proceso creativo."

Ayer, en el Hotel Sevilla, tuvimos el privilegio de asistir a la inauguracion de la exposicion de Ramsés Morales Izquierdo. Artista que nos trae con su sonrisa los aires de la antigua ciudad de Trinidad, donde vive y crea su arte.
Ab Stractus, origen y esencia, como dice el autor: "desde esa esencia es de donde mis cuadros parten hacia ustedes. La abstraccion es el lugar donde voy a recrearme, como cuando niño visitaba el mar."
Sucesor de maestros como: Kandinsky, Klee, Dubufeet o Raúl Martínez, Ramsés juega con el color y las palabras para comunicarnos la esencia de la vida.

Yesterday, in the Sevilla's Hotel, we had the privilege of attending the inauguration of the exhibition of Ramsés Morales Izquierdo. Artist that brings us with their smile the airs of the old city of Trinidad, where he/she lives and believe their art.
Ab Stractus, origin and essence, like the author says: "from that essence it is of where my squares leave toward you. The abstraction is the place where I will relax, as when boy visited the sea."
